Comic Book Diaries - Movie Review

So I saw this movie, Comic Book Diaries, on instant Netflix and thought the premise seemed like fun. It is a cool preference. It just isn't a cool flick.
The main problem with this movie is that it tries too hard to be Clerks. It has the low-budget feel and the overly wordy script that reflects on a place in the world that one might not be entirely pleased with. What it doesn't have is talent or originality. The low-budget camera work is something you can get used to but the forced dialogue and the constant music in the background no matter the scene really grates after only a few minutes.
I will admit I didn't make it to the end but I highly doubt you will either Inmates. So if you see this somewhere avoid it like you would an infectious disease. It is just that bad.
